For the fundraising I organised that the 3 marketing teams come together and brain storm some ideas. (The ideas are to the left).

As a course we would like to raise some money for our end of year exhibition. This included paying for resources, printing and any other cool ideas we have planned for the day.

When looking at all the ideas there were some that we realized weren't possible; such as the Guinness world record or the 24 gaming streams.

However we did have some more substantial ideas which were pushed forward to be spoken about in the lecture theater.

On Monday 22nd January 2018 Dot, Kieran and I all sat down with the whole course and spoke about how we wanted to raise money.

Firstly the ideas of the gofundme and kickstarter were raised. These are charity websites where people can look at a cause and donate money to it if they wish. Its a good idea if parents or friends want to help out however for general public it might not work. Patreon however is a little different. It works as a behind the scenes for creators and businesses. Patrons will pay different fees a month in return for behind the scenes and exclusive looks at what we would be up to. The rewards get better the more you pledge and the money would go to the cause we would like. However this needs to be checked over by Lizzy to make sure this is all okay.

The next and probably most popular idea was for a bake sale. We had an astonishing amount of people volunteer to make food for the stand. With the amount of food promised and fair pricing, I personally think this could do very well. To do this I need to book out the space at the college to sell the cakes. Or maybe even look into being a market stall in Colchester town. Either way the whole course seemed to be on board and will probably be the most effective way of raising money for us. As well as cakes a popcorn and candyfloss machine has been unconditionally offered to us by one of the parents - This would be amazing if we could arrange that.

The second most popular idea raised was a basketball match. Around ten people agreed to this so I will have to talk to someone about hiring the basketball courts. Kieran (Group C's Marketing Co-ordinator) plays basketball at the college so I am sure he would know who to talk to in regards of booking.

One final idea was a charity stream. This could be an art or gaming stream, it is currently undecided. Duke Weatherill (Group C's Art Director) is a regular art and gaming streamer who has offered to lend us a hand with this.

Overall I think the ideas we have are very good and we will raise quite a lot of money for the exhibition at the end of the year. The only problem I see happening is booking the places to sell things or certain money raising not being allowed. Luckily we haven't hit this hurdle yet, so it is all running smoothly as of this moment.
