oRIGAMI SEALS

As one of my marketing products I created around 100 origami seals for the exhibition. Since our logo is a seal, I needed something to represent our team and help people remember it after the exhibition. I've done loads of origami before and the steps to them are very similar so it was quite easy to pick up - this is why I chose to do it for a product.

I found this basic video on you tube that allowed me to pick up how to make it. After watching it once or twice I  managed to learn it off by heart and then create them from memory. This was quite a successful process because I then could make it into a workshop at the exhibition.

The exhibition workshop was incredibly successful! I taught so many people

how to create their own seals and they then were either taken home or put

on our stall.

This added to our design and also helped us stand out at the

event. The table simple had a few made up seals, a sign and the paper.

What went well:

  • The originally of the seals is something that is professional and unique. It makes us stand out and they are a really good representation to our brand.

  • The seals actually turned out really well, I made sure everyone was made carefully so they all looked clean and were folded precisely.

  • The popularity of the workshop, because it was something so unique the feedback/ response was beyond anything I could have dreamed of.

Even Better if:

  • I wish I could have manned the stall more, that way people might have gained even more interest on the workshop.

  • The paper turned into drawing paper for the smaller children, which is not really a problem but the paper is specialized for folding. However it did keep the children who aren't really old enough for the games entertained.

  • I presented the table better. It was a very last minute plan so I wish I could have made a sign or instructions. It might have made it more popular.
