The marketing role is an extremely important role for the upcoming project. Today we looked at 3 different marketing agencies and what they do their clients.

Heaven Media

The first agency is heavily involved with esports and gaming tournaments. The marketing strategies have different requirements from games since they are events rather than a product.

The way they achieve this is through a few different methods:

Social Media: The way they direct their marketing is very clever. Not only have they got professionals who have years and years of experience in social media marketing they have people who know where your advertisements will relieve the most views and the most interest. Furthermore to make sure they can get your product or event more publicity they have members of the team who are specialists in their regions. Including the native language and culture. This is a very effective marketing technique and what makes the company so good at what they do.

Their Creative Agency: Heaven Media have experienced and talented team members who can create 3D rendered videos all the way to micro sites. As well as these they can also create apps for mobile for you. Their aim is to present you with the best creative work as possible, this makes them unique and stand out from all the other agencies.

Playwire Media

This second agency has worked with huge brands from Sega to Activision.

These are some of the ways they accomplish this:

In-Game Advertisements: Playwire know how to strategically place adverts and trailers to reach the masses. The company allows brands to advertise to gamers during their gameplay sessions on platforms such as steam, PS4 and XBOX.

Mobile: They get 700 mobile interactions a month on mobile. They are able to target almost anybody on any platform regardless pf device or scale. I believe this is incredibly helpful to companies wishing to use mobile ads as advertisement.

With a following that big and partners who are incredibly well known this makes them a very successful media agency

Big Games Machine

Big games machine are possibly my favorite marketing agency out of the three, what they offer is slightly different to the other two agencies, here are their strategies:

Launch Plans: They begin their marketing at the beginning they will help you with creating an in-depth launch plan for your products. Aswell as giving advice for every step up until completion. This is very different to the other companies as they expect them to have a launch plan. I find Big Games Machines are better for newer brands as well as old, only because they take more care in getting it right from the beginning and also offer on how to make the launch plans (Which is good for newer companies).

Influences:They make sure that your product gets send out and put into the hands of people in the industry. Sending out the game to people who are experts means you can get the feedback you need or the product endorsement from the influencer. So far Big Games Machine is the only company I've seen do this.

I believe I would thoroughly enjoy this role. The responsibility it requires is something I thrive on and I think I would make a good leader. You need to know your audience, what they are into and how to reach them. This means a person who has experience with social media is crucial. The more confident the marketer is the more their product will get seen and this results in a more successful game.
